There appears to be information about the face unlock feature on the Pixel 6 Pro device.
There appears to be some information regarding face unlock on the latest phones from the company, as the testing of the latest version of the operating system resumed after a short break. According to 9to5Google, the latest alpha build features code that explains how face unlock works, stating that it works best when there's enough light and you're not wearing glasses.
Users are required to hold the phone at eye level to begin the scans. Face unlock is "less secure than a strong pattern, PIN, or password" according to a warning by the search engine.
The lack of specialized hardware is the reason for this. Someone can unlock your phone if they look like you or if you're asleep. Specific hardware that provides secure face unlock was found in the phones of the iPhone, G8, and the Pixel 4. This hardware has been featured in theiPhone.
