There is a wristband on the racket hand of the player. I don't understand why not me.

Many people have begun to believe that his time might be now after he defeated Nadal and Rublev.

It has been 19 years since a US men's singles champ at the US Open.

The way he sprints back after changeovers, his eye-catching style of play, the wonderful array of shots, and his ruthless serve are just some of the things that make watching him play enjoyable. The scene behind his chair at the end of the match was a mess.

The player bank is bad. It's getting the job done so who cares? "After my match against Rublev, I said something."

His infectious personality is whipped up with all the other things.

After the win over Rublev, his coach said that he hoped there would be a movie about him someday.

The 24-year-old is the son of immigrants who moved to the U.S. in the 1990s. His dad worked on the construction of a tennis center in Washington, D.C., and was given a room to sleep in with his two sons.

"It wasn't supposed to be this way," he said. My dad was excited when we got into tennis because he wanted us to use the scholarship to go to school. We weren't able to afford a university so we used the game of tennis.

He won the Orange Bowl nine years ago, which is a junior tournament that Roger, Jim, John and Bjorn Borg have also won.

The man who won there was Andy Roddick, who is now playing at the US Open. Since 2006, the youngest American semifinalist has been Roddick. In 2003 Roddick won the US Open.

He's doing it his way because he wants to be as successful as he was as a child. It was Serena and Venus Williams who caught his imagination and have remained his idols, even though he calls the big three in men's tennis the Mount Rushmore guys. He wears a Serena GOAT hoodie when he walks on to the court.

When I was a kid, I was interested in watching Serena and Venus Williams play in Grand Slam finals. The man said after his victory over Nadal. He's the first black American man to reach the US Open semifinals in 42 years.

He's going to have the entire place behind him when he plays Carlos Alcaraz.

This is a run that has been talked about for a long time. He made it to the quarterfinals at the Miami event in 2019. His best run at a Grand Slam was at the Australian Open. The results weren't matching up.

After the win over Rublev, Ferreira said that they had been working on their mental side to deal with important situations. He's done them well. For the last couple of months, the ball has been hitting. That has been a positive thing for us. It's just the end of matches.

The way they worked on his nutrition was mentioned. He liked chocolate and cookies. He ate at odd times. He didn't eat breakfast much. I didn't have a good idea of when to eat before and after a match. He has done a good job on that side of it.

Tiafoe has never eaten out in a restaurant before at the US Open.

They've changed their training so the practice sessions are shorter and they don't use mobile phones.

"During that time, the cameras weren't on me, attention wasn't on me, I was able to just kind of get better and do my own thing," he said. I stopped trying to be the man. It was going to happen. I was happy with it. I was happy with myself. It's all done now.

The first round of the US Open was played on Court 17 with a win over Marcos G iron. He was playing Nadal six days after seeing off two other people.

He beat him after 34 minutes. The men's title was at stake, with Karen Khachanov saying after his win over Nick Kyrgios that the others saw it as an opportunity to take the trophy.

It's one thing to see the favorite being knocked out, and another to be the player who processed everything that came with it.

He has a wristband that says "Be Your Own GOAT." After the win over Nadal, he saw a message from James, who praised him. The man said he lost it in the locker room. I was insane. That's my man. I was wondering if I should follow him on social media after he posted that. I was going to be cool and act like I didn't see it, and then I was going to retweeted it.

After the match, he had a hard time sleeping.

The problem is that he has never beaten the best player he has ever faced. It is very difficult to play two days after that. We tried to get him to enjoy the moment, but not to stop.

They wanted to live in the moment. After the win over Rublev, Tiafoe raised his hands to the closed roof of Ashe and gave Bradley Beal a hug. The Wizards player was in the best seat in the house to see the sports star.

The man looked over to his box. He saw his father standing motionless in shock, and as they made eye contact, Constant raised his hands to the roof and everyone stood in disbelief.

It all came together for Tiafoe. It was a laughable tie. You cannot make that up.

There is no danger of getting carried away with just two matches left. A lot of great players haven't had a great career because they didn't win anything. It is about winning for me. He needs to win. Winning and victory are the keys to success.

The reset button will be tried again before the semifinals. He doesn't want to be a story of missed opportunities.

"I like to show the world what I can do." It makes me feel good when people appreciate how hard you're working and how good you are. I want to see how many people support me. It means a lot.

Anything can happen if you are really passionate about something. I'm obsessed with tennis and I want to see how far I can go with this.

He will listen to his mother, who tells him to play the man, not the name. He will remember the slogan on his wrist.

Why not me? I looked at that. Why don't you put the time in as well? It's so large that you should believe in yourself. Before anyone else does, you have to believe in yourself.
