A former NASA scientist-turned-vocal critic is once again throwing shade on his former employer, this time for creating a council whose sole purpose is to provide photo ops.

The White House's notice about the NSC was heavy on imagery but light on details, as noted by a former NASA employee in a recent NASA watch post.

Cowing wrote in the post that the National Space Council meetings are simply photo ops.

He said there was no public information about what the VP and the people at the meeting would do.

What's Going On

The details of the upcoming Space Council meeting should be posted on NASA TV and not on any of the government websites. Invitations are being sent out to people of influence and some media celebrities to attend.

The National Space Council does nothing. cowing wrote The public doesn't know what's happening.

The NSC has been plagued with a lack of transparency and a sense of purposelessness during Joe Biden's presidency.

They either don't know or don't care if the rest of us know what's happening with space policy.

The meetings of the national space council are just photo ops.
