Beneath Tim Cook's reserved demeanor lies a person who loves a bit of sarcasm. Cook let his sense of humor out at the Code Conference, even though he needs to present a professional image at all times. During a Q&A, a journalist asked if they could share video clips with their mom on the phone because it wasn't compatible with RCS. Cook made a joke that the person should buy their mom an Apple product.
The person is Daniel Cooper.
The group inside Meta analyzed potential harms to society caused by Facebook products. Engineers, ethicists and civil rights experts were part of the team. Meta didn't explain why the group has closed, but it was still committed to the team's goals. Facebook has a reputation for building products without considering the consequences. There should be a team of in-house experts that point out this type of thing.

Microsoft had to make a number of commitments to ward off antitrust regulators as part of the $68.7 billion deal to acquire the publisher of Call of Duty. Call of Duty was not pulled away from the PS3 to make people buy consoles. Jim Ryan isn't happy with Phil Spencer despite public promises. Ryan said that Microsoft had promised to keep Call of Duty on the platform for three more years.

Many tongues are wagging after that. Is the next generation of Ampere Next based graphics cards going to be called the RTX-40 series? It will be interesting to see how many of these cards go on sale in the near future.

When humans return to the moon, NASA wants to use the space suits supplied by Axiom Space. Increased flexibility and more specialized tools will be offered by the new suits. A planned all-woman spacewalk was canceled due to insufficient gear. The planned return to our nearest neighbor feels more real with a contract in place to provide the suits necessary to walk on the moon. NASA needs a wagon that will take everyone up and running.

From the end of the classic series episode 'Space Seed' until the beginning of The Wrath of Khan, there will be a gap. Nicholas Meyer will be writing and directing the series. I never expected Meyer to write more Trek, but I am here for it.
