  • The GOP lawmakers took credit for the bill they initially rejected.

  • He impersonated them and also spoke out against them.

  • The president has become more critical of die-hard Trump supporters.

Republican lawmakers have tried to take credit for an infrastructure bill that they didn't vote for, according to President Joe Biden.

Biden impersonated the GOP members while speaking at the DNC meeting.

He said that Republicans helped them get it passed. There are more Republicans taking credit for that bill than the people who voted for it.

Biden spoke louder as the audience laughed.

He said that the new bridge would be built here. We are all for it. The internet is going to be all over by the way.

He said at the end of his performance that he loved it. They have no shame.

Biden referred to the infrastructure bill as a "once-in-a- generation investment" in roads, highways, airports, and high-speed internet during his speech.

He criticized former President Donald Trump's most loyal supporters.

I want to make it clear that not every Republican is a fascist. Not every Republican has an extreme ideology. I know because I've worked with them and the mainstream Republicans.

Biden called for Democrats, independents, and "mainstream Republicans" to "choose a different path" after accusing the "extreme set ofMAGA Republicans" of working towards "anger, violence, hate, and division".

Biden's comments on Thursday came just a week after he made some of his strongest statements about the GOP during a prime-time speech. The upcoming November elections are a battle for the soul of the nation.

The Republican National Committee Chairwoman accused Biden of making "wretched attacks" on Americans that "pitted neighbors against each other" and caused division.

The RNC accused Biden of hypocrisy after he spoke out against the Republicans.
