Rian Johnson's Knives Out was a surprise hit. There aren't a lot of murder mysteries that are funny at the box office. The first of the Knives Out sequels will be arriving later this year. The first trailer for Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery was released by the streaming service. Daniel Craig is back as a detective. Blanc has a new mystery that needs to be solved.
There isn't much of a plot in the trailer. The action is shifting away from the American setting of the first film and going to a remote island. EdwardNorton is playing a tech billionaire who gathers his closest friends and followers for a private vacation. Someone will die since this is a murder mystery. There is no shortage of suspects as Blanc attempts to identify the killer.
The trailer introduces Glass Onion's primary supporting cast. Wrestler-turned- actor Dave Bautista is playing a man who brings his guns to work. Kate Hudson and Lionel Toussaint are both fashion designers. Mone is also known as Andi Brand, a techentrepreneur.
No one has more to lose than the woman in the picture. The governor of Connecticut is running for the US Senate, and she doesn't want a scandal. The rest of the cast is rounded out by Jessica Henwick, Whiskey, and Peg.
Glass Onion will get a limited theatrical release in November and then head to the streaming service in December. The new trailer didn't have any dates attached to it.
