The exploits of Khan Noonien Singh, the arch-villain of Star Trek, will be chronicled in a new scripted Star Trek podcasts. The period of time after Khan and his cohort of genetically- engineered villains were exiled will be covered in Star Trek: Khan - Ceti Alpha V. Nicholas Meyer is the writer and director of the miniseries.
Meyer is a creative figure who deserves more love than any other. The film saved the series from obscurity. Three of the best Star Trek movies ever made were directed by him. If you want to make great Star Trek, you need to hire Nicholas Meyer and cut his budget in half, according to an esteemed Trek scholar.
"Nick made the definitive Trek movie when he made Wrath, and we've all been standing in its shadow since." He said it was an honor to allow Meyer to tell the next chapter in the same way he wanted it to be.
Meyer was recruited by the creator of Star Trek to be a producer. Meyer said that he was considering writing a Khan mid-quel series that would bridge the gap between the classic series and the film. The series may or may not have been put on ice due to the re-merger of CBS and Paramount. Meyer said that he was revising his drafts to make sure they were better suited to the format.
There is no information on when the series will be released or who will be starring in it. We should expect this to be the greatest piece of Trek ever committed to audio due to the fact that Paramount has hired Nicholas Meyer and cut his budget by more than half.
