There are a lot of details about what to expect from the second game in the series. There will be three new heroes at the launch, the first new heroes in over two and a half years. New characters will need to be unlocked through a battle pass in order to be introduced in the game.

The commercial leader and vice-president of the company said that the new heroes of the game will be available for free on the Battle Pass. There will be at least three or four heroes on a seasonal basis.

Addressing some incomplete info posted early about our Overwatch 2 Battle Pass – we'll be sharing all details ahead of launch, but want to confirm that new Overwatch 2 heroes will be available on the free track of the Battle Pass.

Someone may have released too much information about the battle pass. Kiriko will be the next support hero, according to the leak. Those who buy the premium version of the battle pass will get access to the latest hero of the game, Kiriko. The description has been changed.

It is not uncommon for free to play games to paywall new characters or not make them available to everyone.

This is a big change for the team. In the original game, every character was available to everyone at the same time. It is possible for players to swap characters mid-game to counter enemy compositions, something that isn't possible in other games. At first, new heroes are often overwhelmed. Junker Queen has been a dominant player in the league in recent weeks for that reason.

If you don't have time to grind tounlock new heroes, you might be at a disadvantage. It's unclear whether players will be able to pay to level up the battle pass, as they can in the likes of Fall Guys, but it seems that those who buy the premium battle pass will gain access to one of the fresh faces.

There will be more information about how the battle pass works in the coming weeks. On October 4th, the current version of the game will be replaced by a new one.
