The social network is working on a feature that will allow users to re-post other people's posts. The company plans to test the repost feature with some users soon.

Meta is exploring the ability to reshare posts in Feed so people can share what they like, and so original creators are credited for their work. We are going to test this with a few people.

Matt Navarra, a social media consultant, posted a picture of a Reposts tab. All the posts that users have reshared on their accounts will be located in the tab. The Repost tab will appear on users profiles along with the other tabs.

Third-party apps can sometimes be used to reshare posts, but there isn't a direct way to do it. When it comes to resharing posts, a feature called a repost would eliminate the need for workarounds. Although you can currently share someones post in your Story, this upcoming function will allow you to share the post in your feed. Many of its users already use the Stories share feature, and it is now trying to give users a better way to widely share posts they like.

The concept of reposts on social media is a result of the Retweet feature on the social media platform. TikTok is testing a new "Repost" button that will allow users to amplify videos on the platform by sharing them with their own followers.

Reposts will be visible in your followers' feeds and on your profile in the designated repost tab, according to the screenshot shared by Navarra.

It could be a new way for creators to get their content discovered if TikTok rolls out the repost option more broadly. It could be used to make sure that original creators are credited for their work. The addition of a repost feature would help ensure that original posters are credited when their work is shared widely.

It is not known when or if it will be released to all users. The feature will enter the testing phase soon.

The introduction of a repost feature may be a welcome addition for some users, but others may see it as another feature that will overload the social network. Some users are upset with the changes that have steered it away from being a place to share pictures with friends and family. The full-screen feed test was put on hold because of the criticism.

Many people are calling for the platform to go back to its roots because they haven't asked for more features. When a feature is copied from other social networks, it may turn off some users from the service.
