The son of Queen Elizabeth II ascended to the throne after her death.

The palace said that the Queen passed away peacefully. The king and queen will return to london tomorrow.

The queen reigned for 70 years and her two sons are in line to the throne.

After his mother died, Charles gained the title of king and did not need a ceremony to become one.
