Asus’ ROG 6 Android gaming phones are available for preorder in North America

The ROG Phone 6 and Phone 6 Pro are now available for pre-order in North America. The latest version of this gaming-focused phone has a souped-up version of the same processor shared by many current-gen flagships. The ROG Phone 6 also has some additional hardware to cement its status as a go-to device for mobile gaming, which includes a minimum of 12GB of ram and a 165Hz refresh rate screen.

There are two different configurations of the phone. The base model has 12 gigabyte of ram and 128 gigabyte of storage The upgraded version has 16 gigabyte of ram and 512 gigabyte of storage The ROG Phone 6 Pro has a higher price tag than the standard models, but it's still the same model.

All models of the phone have a 6.78-inch display. The ROG Phone 6 lineup is available in either black or white and comes with plenty of lighting to broadcast your status to your friends and family.

In our review of the ROG Phone 5, we found that the phone offered what appeared to be a completely decked-out phone for those that can't stomach the price.

The launch of the ROG Phone 6 includes a dedicated controller and an active cooling system, as well as extending the gaming status of the phone. The ROG Kunai 3 gamepad is similar to Nintendo's Joy-Con controllers. The controller can either be clipped to the phone or used as a stand alone system. The Kunai 3 has the same inputs you would find on a dual stick controller, as well as a pair of back paddle inputs. The Kunai 3 can be purchased through the storefront of the company.

The AeroActive Cooler 6 is a unique peripheral that clips to the back of the ROG Phone 6 and is debatable as to its necessity. The design of the AeroActive Cooler 6 is familiar to anyone that has seen a heatsink for their computer. The ROG Phone 6 can be used to power the cooler, but it can be adjusted to fit your needs. It is not known if the AeroActive cooler can be used in conjunction with the Kunai 3 game pad.
