The success of an initial trial run of the tour offered by American Cruise Lines has led to the creation of a new land and cruise itinerary.

The itinerary will run between Portland, Ore., and Jackson, Wyo. on the Columbia and Snake rivers.

After disembarking in Hells Canyon on the Washington-Idaho border, guests will embark on a seven-day land tour that will take them to some of the country's most popular national parks.

A pre- or post-cruise excursion package for cruises in the Pacific Northwest includes a visit to the three national parks. The Columbia and Snake rivers cruise itinerary now includes a seven-day land tour of the national parks.

Some of the nation's most well-known parks include Old Faithful geyser, active excursions, and views of wildlife and natural landscapes.
