The first day of the decider between England and South Africa was abandoned without a ball being thrown.

There was no action after England won the toss and decided to field.

The start of the game was pushed back 30 minutes due to heavy overnight rain.

There was a lot of bad weather on the day.

A dry spell allowed an inspection at 15:10 and a further look at the ground was due to take place at 16.

South Africa have made four changes to the side that was beaten in the second Test, while England have confirmed their XI.

Rassie van der Dussen has been replaced by Ryan Rickelton, while Khaya Zondo has been moved to the middle order.

Lungi Ngidi and Simon Harmer will not be with us.

Both sides have won a Test within three days of each other.
