New changes to the Xbox HomeUI will be available for everyone in 2023. Changes to the layout and design will make it easier to find games and apps on the platform. A variety of experiments will be conducted over the next few months before Microsoft launches its new Xbox HomeUI in 2023.

Ivy Krislov, senior product manager lead of Xbox experiences, says that the xbox home page is where the most people spend their time. We know that we can always listen and learn how we can improve here. We're starting a series of experiments to learn how to create a more personalized home screen experience and address some of the top trends.

Some of the Xbox Home experiments will be available to a small group of Xbox Insiders today. There is a new row at the top of the Home that has games and apps that have recently been played. There isn't a bigger tile for the most recent app or game, and the interface is a lot more similar to Microsoft's Xbox TV app.

The main Xbox Home consoleUI has a search function as well as quick access to settings. There is a pinned tile for access to the Microsoft store. The ad tile is pinned to the home screen of the game.

Microsoft will show categories based on the games you play when you scroll down, and there should be a more consistent design with improved layout.

XBOX users have been calling on Microsoft to redesign its XBOX Home interface for months, with suggestions to focus on showing more of the dynamic wallpaper, remove the ads, and offer up more customizability. The redesign doesn't address all of that yet, but there are months left for more changes that could make it more versatile.

I want to be able to fully modify the Xbox HomeUI, pin apps and games freely up top, as well as remove the static tiles Microsoft forces everyone to have. I can change my homescreen and apps on my phone anywhere I want, so why not do the same on the console?

We want to make sure this experience is the best it can be, so we will be rolling it out slowly and iterating throughout the process. The new, better Home experience will be launched in 2023.
