The win over Georgia Tech was the result of a strong second half by the Tiger's. There is a time and a place for it.

The largest college football coaching contract in history was agreed to by the coach of the team.

The contract runs through the 2031 football season and averages $11.5 million over the course of 10 years. Alabama coach Nick Saban, who recently got a raise and extension that will pay him $10.7 million this season, will make $10.5 million in 2022.

He will make an average of $11.7 million per year over the next 17 years. Georgia coach Kirby Smart signed a 10-year, $112 million contract in July.

The College Football Playoff era has seen six of the eight national championship wins by the three coaches.

Entering his 15th season as the head coach of the Tigers, he has won two national titles and seven Atlantic Coast Conference titles. In the first 15 seasons of a head-coaching career, Urban Meyer and Bob Stoops have both won more than 150 games.

It's hard for me to believe I'm in my 14th full season as your head coach, and I remain eternally grateful and honored for the opportunity to continue coaching and developing young people of excellence. The success we've had academically and athletically is reflected in the agreement. It's a reflection of the commitment of so many people, including our players, our staff, our fans, and our University leadership. The relationships forged within this program and the ability to positively impact those around us are the most rewarding part of this program.

If he leaves for another college team, he will owe $6 million in the year 2022, and $9 million in the year 2022, according to the term sheet. If he left for an NFL job, he wouldn't owe anything. Every year, the number of buyouts decreases.

If it fires him without cause, it would owe him $65 million in the next two years, $60 million in the next two years, and $60 million in the next two years. He would be paid the last years of the deal.

If he is fired for cause, he won't get a payoff.

His maximum bonuses were increased from 1.05 million to 1.5 and he received a $150,000 bonus for a CFP appearance.

The athletic director said he was grateful for the support from the Board of Trustees to ensure they could continue to build on a firm foundation. "Clemson needs to invest in our football program and make sure our head coach is with us for a long time." It's the best to come.
