You can split the main outlets into two main categories as sports media becomes like the rest of the media. Those who are around to belch out something most days of the week are no different. I don't have a clue where Doug Gottlieb fits. He's somewhere in the middle, so he's either both or neither, but he seems to keep emitting like a car that was stolen. The sound makes you hunch your shoulders.

Gottlieb was forced to apologize to Close, who had sued him after Gottlieb claimed that Close had never informed Freddie of the Braves final offer, which led to them trading for Matt Olson and the Dodgers. It would be career suicide for someone like Close, who has represented a number of MLB players, to be negligent like this.
It sounded like he was trying to save face with the Braves fans while maxing out his dollars, or that the Braves were trying to paint someone other than a fan favorite as the villain that caused him to leave. An agent is not hard to target. Gottlieb was going to run with the bull horn.
Gottlieb had to get rid of it all, which is usually what toads have to do after being caught.
