Steve Bannon surrendered at a New York City courthouse on Thursday to face charges related to a campaign to build a wall on the U.S. border with Mexico.

The case is scheduled to be heard by a judge at 1:45 p.m. The court is in Manhattan

More than two years after he was arrested on federal charges that he and three other men defrauded donors who gave millions of dollars to fund the "We build the wall" campaign, a new indictment has been made public against him.

Before Donald Trump left office in January 2021, he pardoned Steve Bannon.

A number of people were given pardons or commutations by Trump in his final weeks in office.

Presidential pardons don't protect people from prosecution on state charges.

The new prosecution against him is politically motivated, as he walked into the court.

On the very day the mayor of this city has a delegation down on the border, they're persecuting people here.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams sent a group of officials to the southern border to meet with Border Patrol agents. Adams has a feud with Abbot who has sent buses filled with migrants to New York City.

One man yelled, "Stop hurting America, you disgusting, two-bit grifter!"

At 1 p.m., the Manhattan District Attorney and the New York Attorney General are going to hold a press conference. There will be a discussion about the indictment against Bannon.

In July, he was found guilty of two counts of contempt of Congress. The case was brought because he refused to testify before the committee.

New York has decided to prosecute me 60 days before the election.

The criminal justice system is being politicized.
