With its depiction of Middle-earth, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has brought fresh life and power to the universe of J.R.R. The show has become the center of controversy due to racism, hatred and abuse being directed at some of the cast.

The actors released a strong statement on Wednesday condemning racism, threats, harassment, and abuse of some of their castmates of color.

The world created by Tolkien is multi-cultural. A world in which people of different races and cultures come together to defeat evil. That is reflected in the ring of power.

Middle-earth is not all white.

People protesting against inclusive casting say they're fighting against squeamishness. People of color do not belong in Middle-earth according to others. The themes of hierarchy, prejudice, and bias have been noted before. The comments directed at the new adaptation are related to bigotry.

Sophia Nomvete plays Princess Disa in the show. The characters have been the subject of discrimination.

According to Crdova, the show has laid a foundation for the future of Middle Earth.
