Bose had a big announcement this morning. I was working on other things. Bose makes good headphones, and any new version of its flagship products deserves a mention, even if you missed the QuietComfort Earbuds II launch.

Bose's bread and butter has always been noise canceling, and the new buds bring big improvements to that. Each bud has four microphones, two on the outside and one on the inside. The noise can be detected and counteracted in less than a fraction of a second.

The buds use a tone to determine the size and shape of your ear and adjust the sound accordingly. Nura is a company that does something similar to this.

Bose does a great job of re-measuring when you take the buds out of the case and place them in your ears. The buds come with three tip sizes and three stability bands. Bose has an app that will help you find a good fit.

Six hours of life on a charge and an additional 18 with the case is what the QC Buds 2 are rated for. It's not cheap to have them. They are less expensive than the new AirPods Pro. You can pick them up from September 15.
