McConnell dodged a question during the Kentucky flood press conference.
McConnell told reporters at the conference that he was here to talk about the recovery from the flood.
The country needs a thorough and immediate explanation of what happened on Monday. Attorney General Garland and the Department of Justice should have given answers to the American people before now.
McConnell's somewhat subdued response on the investigation has become a point of contention with other conservatives and observers.
McConnell thought that the January 6th insurrection would cause the President to be discredited.
While the former president has bashed McConnell, he has taken the 'no comment' stance on matters relating to Trump. Elaine Chao is the wife of McConnell.
The former president said on Truth Social that McConnell was a fiddle with the vote by the Senate Democrats.
McConnell's spokesman did not reply to Insider's request for comment.
