An updated version of the AirPods Pro and a ruggedized Apple Watch were among the new devices introduced at Apple's "Far Out" event. The second-gen AirPods Pro will be available for pre-order on Friday, September 9th and will be available for purchase on September 23rd. Apple will continue to sell the entry-level AirPods at their original price of $179; however, it appears that Apple will no longer sell the original AirPods Pro after the second-gen model is released.
The new version of the AirPods Pro is the same color as the previous one, and it has the same design. Apple introduced a MagSafe compatible charging case for the noise-canceling earbuds. The second-gen AirPods Pro is Apple's most impressive earbuds to date.
The new AirPods Pro can support up to six hours of continuous play with noise cancellation enabled, or 30 more with the provided charging case, according to Apple. The updated H2 chip in the 2022. model allows for an improved adaptive transparency mode, better noise cancellation, and more. If you misplace your earbuds, Apple has built-in speakers that will let you know where they are.
