James Anderson and Stuart Broad have their eyes set on next summer's series against Australia, according to England captain Ben Stokes.
Both were dropped for England's tour of West Indies in March but came back to play a key part in the side winning five of their six Tests this summer.
Both Broad and Anderson will be almost forty years old during the series.
"I don't think they'll decide it's time for them to step away at a certain point," said Stokes.
The final Test against South Africa will be played at The Oval on Thursday.
Anderson and Broad have taken 24 and 22 Tests, respectively, at an average of 17.66 and 31.90
Broady's influence in the dressing room is the best I've seen while playing with him and Jimmy has come out and said how much fun he's had.
He's taken to another level the conversations he's had with me and the other Bowlers about how he wants to help them.
In December and February, England will play two Tests in New Zealand.
Anderson and Broad could be used lightly or not at all.
England will play one Test against Ireland in the summer of next year, before they attempt to regain the urn from Australia.
It will be 20 years since Anderson made his Test debut against Zimbabwe at Lord's.
"Jimmy at 40 and Broady at 36 have a new lease of life in the dressing room and honestly I can't tell you when the end will be," said Stokes.
I'm pretty sure they have their eyes set on the urn when it comes up.
