The Chicago Bears selected Fields with the 11th pick in the 2021.
Fields will be the starting quarterback for the first time in his career. Fields took over as the starting quarterback a few weeks into the season after a knee injury to Andy Dalton.
Fields and the Bears didn't make the playoffs after going 6-11. The Bears parted ways with their general manager and head coach at the end of the season.
Fields threw for 1,870 yards and 6.9 yards per attempt. He ran 72 times for 410 yards and 2 scores.
Injuries to his ribs and ankle forced him out for five games in the back half of the year, but Fields did end on a personal high note by completing 26 of 39 passes for 285 yards and a touchdown in a December game against the Minnesota Vikings.
The season will start on Sunday at 1 p.m. Against the 49ers.
