The regular iPhone 14 models are very similar to the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

The display has a pill-shaped island on top of it. It's called that because it does more than just sit there. It's an animated thingy that shows you notifications and other information about what's going on on your phone. You can expand the Dynamic Island into a larger bubble by touching it.

The 6.1 and 6.7 inch sizes are the same as before. The display has a peak brightness of 2000 nits.

Apple says the A16 Bionic chip in the Pro models offers improved performance and less power than the previous chip.

The cameras are a big upgrade. The main camera on the phone has a bigger sensor than the one on the iPad.

The resolution that Apple uses for its ProRAW format is better for zoom quality. The ultra-wide and telephoto cameras only go to 12MP. The new Photonic Engine improves low-light quality.

Emergency SOS via Satellite was added to both the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Pro models. In areas where there aren't cell towers, it gives the phone some connection. It's a start, but you won't be able to use this for a long time. Crash detection uses the phone's various sensors to determine if you've been in a crash.

The new color of the iPhone 14 Pro is Deep Purple, and it's the same color as the band.

Both the 14 Pro and the 14 Pro Max start at over $1,000. Pre-order them on Sept. 9 and they will be available on Sept. 16.
