Diego Costa's visa was granted by the Football Association after he appealed.
He signed as an out-of-contract player and has agreed a deal to stay until next summer.
Costa was denied a permit because he didn't meet the points criteria.
He last played for a team in Brazil.
The application was approved by Wolves.
Costa is expected to arrive in England on Wednesday evening and join Bruno Lage's team.
There is a chance that Wolves will be without a recognised forward for Saturday's trip toLiverpool.
It is not known if Lage will pick Costa in his squad.
The international break is on Saturday, 17 September.
