Lawrence O'Donnell said Tuesday that Judge Cannon is the top Republican short list for the Supreme Court by siding with Donald Trump. The video can be watched below.
Cannon was appointed to a federal bench by Trump in 2020 and granted Trump's request for a "special master" to review documents seized from his home. Cannon was accused of being biased and corrupt by a legal expert.
For as long as it takes for another Republican to win the electoral college, the short list will only include her name if Trump is elected president.
Cannon issued an order this week for an independent arbiter to adjudicate over the objections of the Justice Department, which is investigating Trump for squirreling away classified material at Mar-a-Lago. The material is protected according to Trump. If Trump were to be indicted, Cannon claimed that he could suffer a lot of damage.
Cannon was concerned about Trump, according to O'Donnell.
If you have already ruined your reputation, you can't suffer reputational harm.
