The Jets said that Wilson will be out at least three games as he recovers from knee surgery.

He was supposed to miss a couple of games. Wilson won't be playing until Week 4 according to Robert Saleh. The Jets are on the road for a game.

The Baltimore Ravens, the team that drafted Joe Flacco in 2008, will face the Jets in the season opener.

"We're going to make sure mind and body are 100% and make sure we do right by him."

It's not worth the risk to play Wilson now. The knee is part of the equation. The mind component is there. The practice part is there. There are many things besides the knee.

Wilson hasn't suffered a blow.

The second-year quarterback looked good in a side workout on Monday and could be in line to start. Wilson wasn't a serious option. It was only a game. He has not practiced with the team since he had knee surgery.

Sources said the injury was a two- to four-week one. Wilson injured his knee last season and missed four weeks with a bone bruise.

Wilson will return to the lineup as soon as he is healthy, according to the man. He has missed a lot of practice and games.

They decided against placing him on short-term injured reserve because they wanted him to be able to practice while he heals. He will not be practicing this week.

He has not started a season opener since he joined the Broncos. He will face the team that drafted him in 2008, the team that he led to a Super Bowl title. Lamar Jackson replaced him late in the year.

The last five starts have been with the Jets and the first two with the Broncos. He has won as a starter for the Broncos. He played well in his only start last season, throwing for 291 yards and two touchdown in a loss to the Miami Dolphins.

The Broncos will play the Ravens for the first time since they traded Flacco to Denver.
