The U.S. will be an overwhelming favorite to beat the International team for the ninth straight time in the Presidents Cup.

They'll be on the U.S. team along with others.

Love said that the U.S. team will have to play well in order to win.
"It's still going to be that stadium, that first tee, and 'Go USA,'" Love said. This is the first time they've ever played together. The team wants to win. I don't think we need to do a lot of motivating things. You don't want to be on a team that loses.
The International team's highest ranked players are from Japan and South Korea. Two of the International team's anticipated stars are ineligible for the team after defecting to the golf circuit.
The International team knows that the American team is possibly the best American team ever assembled, if you look at their accomplishments and world rankings.

Love said that the team will have a chip on their shoulders and want to prove that they can still compete. We need to be cautious. These guys are not going to lie down.
After losing Will Zalatoris, who was seventh in the Presidents Cup rankings, to a back injury, Love made his captain's selections. Kisner, a veteran and match-play specialist, was 15th in the rankings.
Tom Hoge and J.T. Poston did not make the Presidents Cup team.
The WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play winner was Kisner, who was runner-up in both of the last two seasons. In his only Presidents Cup appearance, Kisner went 2-0-2 and earned 3 points. He was one of the best putters in the world and finished seventh in the PGA Championship at the end of last year.

The U.S. team won the Presidents Cup in Australia in 2019.
"What we do in the Presidents Cup is we don't have this fear of losing and we don't have doubts in our head," Love stated. We have a lot of confidence and we need to keep that going. It was a bit closer than we wanted.
