The expansion of the King Power Stadium is expected to be approved by the council.

In October, the club applied for planning permission from the council.

A new hotel and business centre is one of the things it wants to build.

The planning committee is going to vote on the plans on Wednesday, but officers have recommended they approve the designs.

The capacity of the ground is currently 40,000, making it the 10th largest in the league.

More than 1,000 jobs will be created during the construction period, with another 1000 permanent positions across the site.

The plans should be approved by the committee members according to the council documents.

The club will have to set out more specific plans if it is approved.

The improvements and accessibility of The Raw Dykes Scheduled Ancient Monument will be aided by the contributions.

The site used to be owned by E.On and is now owned by the club.

The club said that the site is an additional asset for any future developments.
