The Buffalo Bills enter the season as the favorite to win the Super Bowl for the first time in 25 years.

Ahead of the Bills season opener against the Rams on Thursday night, the Bills are listed at +600 at Caesar's.

John Murray, executive director and oddsmaker at the SuperBook, said that the Bills are the highest-power-rated team. The Bills will be in a good position to host the playoffs because the teams in the west will beat each other.

The Bills are the clear front-runner for home field in January, which will make them a tough out for any visiting team.

The next three teams in the conference with the lowest Super Bowl odds are Kansas City, Los Angeles and Denver. The Las Vegas Raiders are one of the top seven teams for most Super Bowl bets. Three teams are in the top fifteen.

The Rams are the favorite to win the Super Bowl at +1100, followed by the Packers at +1400. The high volume of wagers they drew during Tom Brady's brief retirement at 40-1 odds is a big reason for that.

"They're a team that takes money all year long, so I would rate them at 10-1 odds in a vacuum, if not for the heavy action it received all winter," Johnny Avello, the director of sportsbook at DraftKings, said in a recent interview.

The Raiders and Eagles are receiving attention. The Eagles beat the Cowboys as the favorite to win the division. Avello said that the Eagles support has come from both "sophisticated and unsophisticated" gamblers.

The Raiders are getting a lot of love nationally and not just in Las Vegas. Going into the season, they're our biggest liability, and their 4-0 preseason gave the betting public even more reason to bet on the silver and black.

The Raiders made a number of changes this year. Davante Adams, a five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver, and two-time All-Pro defensive end, are two of the new players in Vegas.

It's going to draw a lot of attention when a team makes a big splash. Some sexy names have been added by the Raiders. The problem is the division is the best ever. I don't think it's hyperbole.

The Cincinnati Bengals were 125-1 long shots to win the Super Bowl. The longest odds of a Super Bowl champion over the past 22 years are the 2001 New England Patriots and the 2007 New York Giants.
