According to several reports, Steve Bannon will surrender to New York prosecutors on Thursday as he is expected to be indicted by the state in a fraud case for which he received a pardon from the former president.
The Washington Post reported that the charges against Bannon are similar to an earlier federal fraud case against the right-wing ideologue.
The federal case against Bannon accused him and his partners of defrauding individuals who contributed to his $25 million private crowd funding effort to build the wall, but he received a pardon from Donald Trump before the case could be brought to trial.
New York and other states can bring their own charges if they so choose.

The Manhattan district attorney's office opened an investigation into the case after Trump granted a federal pardon to Steve Bannon.
