Without Sue Bird, the WNBA will not be the same.

Bird's career came to an end on Tuesday when the Seattle Storm lost to Las Vegas in the 4th and final game of the NBA playoffs.

Bird decided to retire from "The W" after this season and was content with what she had accomplished.

Bird said in June that he was going to miss it. I have no bad memories. I feel good about my career and the people I have met. The next chapter is exciting for me.

Bird walked away from women's basketball as one of the game's greatest players despite her final season not ending in a championship. She's a four-time champion, the league's all-time assists leader and ranks among the top 10 in games played. Her style and advocacy for women's rights made her a legend.

The stars went to social media to wish Bird a happy career after the game.
