It was only one month into the season and just days after the club concluded a Europe-high spending spree that Thomas Tuchel was fired.

Todd Boehly, a part-owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, fronted the new ownership of the team that lost to Dinamo Zagreb in the first match of the European Championship.

Tuchel, who has been frustrated and prickly, said "everything is missing" when he summed up his team's performance against Dinamo.

The club's new signings have failed to gel, as evidenced by the club's two losses in the first six games of the season.

"As the new ownership group reaches 100 days since taking over the club, and as it continues its hard work to take the club forward, the new owners believe it's the right time to make this transition."

In his first six months in charge of the club, Tuchel won the European Championship. The Blues faded in the second half of the season, finishing third in the league despite being 19 points behind champion Manchester City.

After RomanAbramovich was forced to put the London club on the market after the British government imposed sanctions on him for his role in the invasion of Ukraine, he changed his ownership of the club.

Boehly made himself chairman and interim sporting director in charge of transfers as a result of the sale of the club.

The final days of the transfer window saw Chelsea spend 75 million pounds on a French center back, as well as bringing in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Rennes.

Tuchel's last game in charge was a debut against Dinamo, which was a benefit to the player because he had played under the coach before.

That's right.
