According to The Washington Post, Steve Bannon will turn himself in to New York prosecutors on Thursday.

According to reports, former President Donald Trump's chief strategist, Steve Bannon, will be indicted on charges related to his role in a $25 million campaign to build a wall on the US-Mexican border. In a previous federal case, prosecutors said that in addition to defrauding donors and receiving more than $1 million from the Mexican border wall campaign, he would not accept any compensation.

The federal investigation that led to the pardon of Bannon was conducted by the FBI. State prosecutions aren't affected by presidential pardons.

The New York Post reports that the Manhattan District Attorney has been looking into the matter since last year.

The investigation is nothing more than a partisan political weaponization of the criminal justice system according to a statement by Steve Bannon.

According to NBC News, Steve Bannon said that the district attorney was going to pursue charges against him 60 days before the election because War Room was the major source of the grassroots movement. The SDNY tried to take me out of the election. It didn't work back then and it won't work now.

He said that the criminal justice system is being politicized. I am proud to be a leader in protecting our borders and building a wall to keep our country safe.

Just a few months after being found guilty of contempt of Congress for ignoring subpoenas related to the House select committee that is investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, a new report has been released.
