Patrick was working out at the Los Angeles Lakers practice facility when he got an assist from Russell.

Westbrook interrupted the news conference to throw a towel at his new teammate.

Beverley said she loved that brother. It's the first dime of the year.

The only Lakers player to attend the first official appearance with the team was Westbrook. While it remains to be seen how this point guard pair will work with Anthony Davis and Anthony James, the tone of Tuesday's meeting was that they are ready to work together.

"I'm super excited about my relationship and fit with the guy," he said. brook was the first name that came to mind when I was asked about someone I always wanted to play with. I want to play with him because I know him from when I was a baby.

I have never had a player like that in my life. I am looking forward to seeing where it goes. We are going to have difficult conversations. That is what happens when you win, but I am excited about the practices. I am looking forward to competing with someone like that.

They compete against each other a lot, and it got heated at times. In the second game of Oklahoma City's playoff series against Houston, Beverley collided with the knee of Russell Westbrook while trying to steal the ball. He had to have surgery on his knee.

The two are still laughing nearly a decade later. If it improves the team, Darvin Ham will start both point guards together.

He asked if he could start the duo if they played defense. We have a while." It's still a long way off but definitely. A lot of people get caught up in the starting lineups, but they don't pay attention to who is finishing games. The starting players are out there to set the tone for the rest of the team.

"I'm not afraid of that," he said. There is a bullet in the chamber. We're looking forward to it, those guys in the back court.

The fit with Westbrook was perfect, according to Beverley.

"I play out of the right-corner wing a lot," said Beverley, who was dealt from Utah to the Lakers for Talen Horton-Tucker and Stanley Johnson. He likes to post on the right wing out of time outs. I shoot from the left corner. It's working. The more ballhandlers you have the better you are as a team.

Prior to last season, he was traded to Minnesota from the LA Clippers. The veteran, who was surprised to be traded from the Timberwolves, admits that it is different to be a Laker now. Getting the Lakers back to the playoffs is the most important thing.

He wants to bring a relentless will to get the Lakers on the same page.

"I feel like they didn't make the playoffs last year, so I'm going to come to a team with 17 championship banners," he said. You can see all the banners, but what have you done for me recently? The Lakers have been a bad team recently. I am here. It's obvious that coach ham is here.

How do we get to it, how do we win, what are we going to do? What are we going to do to make a difference? What are we going to do to get something? You have to give something to be a successful team, even if you want to go to the bank. Do you want to give up? That's what I'm going to do.

The two of them are looking forward to playing He has talked before about his desire to be on James' team.

Who doesn't? "Beavely said." You're talking about GOAT status across the board, not only him.

We are a problem for anyone. We have to get to the playoffs in order for us to be a problem, and we are a problem for everyone. Our business is just getting to the playoffs, and we get to the playoffs, the guys who are divisive, that's the mindset.
