  • Google has started rolling out the September 2022 Pixel Update.
  • The update has also been made available to the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL.
  • Both devices reached the end of their support cycle in May, although they previously received an update over the summer.

The last update to the phones will be issued by the end of May, bringing the security up to date with other devices.

As far back as the Pixel 4 series, the September 2020 update is currently underway. New update files for the devices have been published by the company, which means users can expect an over the air update.

The July time frame didn't allow for an additional security update to be issued by the search engine. The devices received an update in June that included additional VoLTE roaming capabilities. The devices remained on the May patch, which did not change the security level.

The new update brings the same patch as the other devices, so we can forgive the company for missing its original schedule.
