Bill Barr says judge was 'wrong' to appoint special master in Mar-a-Lago investigation as Trump requested, urges government to appeal the decision

A federal judge ordered a special master to review records the FBI seized from Donald Trump's Florida residence.

The opinion was wrong and the government should appeal it, according to Barr. It's flawed in many ways. I don't think the appointment of a special master will change anything, even if it does.

The fundamental dynamics of the case have been set. The government has a lot of evidence that it needs to make a decision.

The US District Judge granted Trump's request for a special master to review the evidence the FBI seized from Mar-a-Lago. The decision temporarily halted the Department of Justice from reviewing the documents, which was a win for Trump.

Many legal experts have called on the Justice Department to appeal the judge's decision.

The judge's order appointing a special master will not stop the very serious Trump stolen docs investigation. The Justice Department has to appeal the ruling because it sets a terrible precedent, according to the lawyer.

Stephen Vladeck, a law professor at the University of Texas, called the ruling "preposterous."

The ruling was ridiculous and will be immediately appealed by the DOJ.

The FBI recovered items from Mar-a-Lago. There were 48 empty folders marked "CLASSIFIED" recovered by the agents who executed the search warrant at Trump's Florida home.

In an interview with Fox News that aired last Friday, Barr said he didn't see a reason for Trump to have classified documents at Mar-a-Lago. "Well, it's also unprecedented for a president to take all this classified information and put them in a country club," Barr said.

According to the former attorney general, the Justice Deparment probably had good evidence before the search warrant was executed.
