There is a Hyatt property coming to one of my favorite areas of Mexico, and I thought I was not the only one who was interested.

Basics of Rancho Pescadero, Hyatt Unbound Collection

Rancho Pescadero is a Hyatt Unbound Collection property. Rancho Pescadero used to be an independent hotel, but will be reopening as a Hyatt.

The resort is located in the Mexican state of Baja California. It is a 70 minute drive from Los Cabos International Airport to the resort. Los Cabos has a lot of amazing hotels, so this could be a good complement to a stay at another property in the area.

I adore Los Cabos. Baja California is one of the places I enjoy the most because of the desert-meets- ocean scenery.

There is a 30-acre oceanfront property called Rancho Pescadero. There are 103 rooms, three restaurants and bars, a coffee shop, a gym and a lap pool at the property.

People will have differing opinions about the resort. I was going to check out this property, but it won't be happening for me soon.

We will have to see pictures of the finished product, but the initial pictures and sketches of the property look great.

Rancho Pescadero rates & how to book

Rancho Pescadero is a Category 7 World of Hyatt property, which is the second highest in the world. You can expect to pay the following if you want to redeem points.

  • 25,000-35,000 points per night for a standard room (this is a Garden View Room or Coastal View Rancho Suite)
  • 43,000-53,000 points per night for a standard suite (this is a Panoramic Ocean View Suite with Rooftop Deck, which is also what a Globalist suite upgrade would confirm into)
  • 50,000-70,000 points per night for a premium suite (this is an Ocean View Milagro Suite with Plunge Pool)

I value World of Hyatt points at 1.5 cents each for what they are worth.

Rancho Pescadero seems to start at $1,000 per night for cash. Mexico has very steep taxes and fees that will add 34% to the rate. There could be a lot of value to be had here.

You can take advantage of perks like complimentary breakfast, a room upgrade, and a property credit if you reserve through the Hyatt Privé program. The minimum stay for this would be two nights.

Bottom line

Rancho Pescadero is a Hyatt property that is close to Los Cabos. The resort is off the beaten path, but it is in a charming area. I want the property to be as cool as possible.

Is anyone going to check out Rancho Pescadero?
