Tara Lynn is being criticized for her comments on why people don't want to work anymore.
Some people have no choice and this is not usually down to being lazy.
Lynn called her critics crazy and embarrassment.
Tara Lynn criticized people who are in bed during the day and said that nobody wants to work.
Lynn has more than 4 million followers on her TikTok account. Speaking directly to the camera from her car, she criticized the content she'd seen on BeReal, a photo-sharing app that's intended for users to post unvarnished and unaltered photos taken with the front and back cameras simultaneously, within a two-minute window that changes
Everyone is in bed and this BeReal could go off at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. Lynn said that there is a lot of people in bed with the shades drawn when BeReal goes off. Why are you asleep?" People don't want to work, get your ass up and work.
Lynn wrote in the caption that she was not a hater and that it was so funny to her. A number of people criticized the creator of the video for her comments.
Several commenters said they were unable to work due to chronic physical conditions and mental health issues which left them unable to sleep at night.
Dozens of people called out Lynn for her privilege by posting their own "stitch" videos.
People in bed on Be Real are not necessarily because they don't work. "It's because we work hard, difficult jobs, and we're tired," said the user.
We don't get out of bed and we lay in our beds in the middle of the day because we don't want to wake up. "We're so depressed because we have all of these bills piling up that we can't pay off even though we're working 40 hours a week," said Emily Ward.
Lynn's comments were particularly offensive given that she's a professional influencer, a career that many don't consider to be a real job, and that she's spoken out in the past about the difficulties of building a brand from scratch.
Lynn said the original video was a joke and called her critics crazy.
I talked about my friends on Be Real. I have a lot of people on there, and it's like a group of people laying in bed. She said that she was joking about them.
Lynn said she didn't mean to suggest that she had the hardest job in the world when she said "get your fuck ass up and work."
She said that she runs around all day doing mundane tasks. I am not hard at work in the field.
The video was viewed over one million times.
Lynn said that people who comment on her videos have no life. She said that it was embarrassing. Shawty, go talk to a loved one. Don't use your phone.
Lynn did not reply immediately.
