Lauren Bell
Lauren Bell impressed for runners-up Southern Brave during The Hundred

Lauren Bell has received her first international call-up, while Katherine Brunt has been rested for England's three- match series against India.

She made her international debut earlier this year.

Brunt, England's leading T20 bowler, has decided not to play in the T20 and subsequent series.

Heather Knight won't be leading England in the foreseeable future.

England will play India in three different formats.

Brunt prioritised her recovery after an intense year so far, during which she retired from Test cricket.

It gives an opportunity for Lauren Bell, who was impressive in The Hundred, and, with her, Alice Capsey, Freya Kemp and Issy Wong in the squad, we're starting to see a group of exciting young players who have the chance to cement their place in the squad.

Bell will replace Brunt in the England squad for the India match, while Knight is out with a hip injury.

The series will be Keightley's final in charge of England.

The team's first full-time female head coach said she was looking forward to leading the team one last time.

She is excited about the upcoming series against India.

She said that they would have to be at their best to win the game.

England will play India in Durham on Saturday, followed by games in Derby and Bristol.

NatSciver, Lauren Bell, Maia Bouchier, Alice Capsey, Kate Cross, and Sophia Dunkley are members of the England squad.
