Fans of sexual imagery have to stop lying to themselves and just go to the website if they want to see porn.
The official account of PornHub was taken down over the weekend, leaving 13 million followers adrift. It is not clear if this is a permanent suspension or a temporary measure.
It's not clear why the account was taken down, with Laila Mickelwait sharing a picture of the account being taken down. It's reasonable to assume that PornHub's social media presence leaned toward the erotic, but it didn't post explicit nudity or pornography that would violate Meta's nudity policy.
The websites have contacted both PornHub andInstagram.
Mickelwait claimed that PornHub's removal from the photo sharing site was a victory. The founder of the movement to shut down Pornhub describes the porn website as "infamous for monetizing the sex trafficking and criminal sexual abuse of countless victims including children"
Sex workers and industry watchers say that the true aim of the site is to destroy the porn industry. The National Center on Sexual Exploitation, formerly known as Morality in Media, and Exodus Cry, a Christian advocacy group, support this. The sex industry and pornography should be abolished by these two groups.

PornHub and its parent company Mind Geek have come under scrutiny for their alleged profits from sexual exploitation. Mastercard and Visa stopped processing payments on PornHub in 2020 after a New York Times report showed the website hosted videos of children. Several lawsuits have been filed against Mind Geek, accusing them of being involved in sexual exploitation.
Changes were made to PornHub's platform. Over 10 million videos and almost 80 percent of its content were removed due to its account verification system being completely overhauled.
84 million instances of child sexual abuse material were reported by Facebook over the last three years. There were 118 incidents on Pornhub reported by the Internet Watch Foundation. We are committed to taking every necessary action despite the fact that it is 118 too many.
It is clear that PornHub is being targeted because it is an adult content platform.
