There is a chance that Apple will have a surprise at the event.

According to Mark Gurman's Power On newsletter, we may see more than just the expected Apple Watches during the Sept. 7 event. A follow-up to the AirPods Pro will be revealed on Wednesday, according to an Apple reporter.

Rumors of a successor to the AirPods Pro earbuds have been floating around for a while, with a report last year from an Apple analyst stating that the new earbuds would be released in late 2022. The in- ear stabilizing stem is similar to the one on Apple's excellent Beats Fit Pro earbuds, which is why Apple is dropping the famous long stem in favor of it.

We will have to wait and see if Apple reveals the new earbuds this week. The $200 Beats Fit Pro beat the $250 AirPods Pro in terms of price, audio quality, and battery life. The current Pro model is the most expensive earbuds in the company's lineup, despite being the oldest one.

The good news is that if you need earbuds now and can't wait, the Beats Fit Pro are a great option.
