China approved a COVID-19 vaccine mist that can be inhaled: the first needle-free booster option

The jabs used in China contain the same ingredients as those used in the inhaled vaccine.

CanSino's vaccine has pieces of genetic material in it so the body can recognize it. The CanSino vaccine uses a harmless version of the common cold virus to carry information about the coronaviruses.

According to data from the World Health Organization, the single-dose CanSino shot is effective at preventing illness and preventing severe disease.

The mist was shown to be just as effective as the two-dose vaccine in clinical trials.
