Donald Trump warned Fox News that it could be overtaken by CNN, a left-leaning network that many conservatives distrust.

After the January 6th Capitol riots, the ex- President used his savvy manipulation of the media to keep his grip on the Republican Party.

He might be playing Fox News off against CNN in order to get them to be more reliable cheerleaders of his.

The Democrats are being pushed by Fox News. He said that it gets worse every day. CNN would be an absolute gold mine if they went conservative.

Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham helped explain Trump's policies to millions of their viewers at Fox News.

After Fox predicted that Joe Biden would flip the election in Arizona, Trump broke away from Murdoch's media empire and courted other right-wing outlets.

New CNN direction post-takeover

In the days and weeks that followed, Trump wanted to spread his message that the November 2020 vote was a fraud and Democrats were going to steal the election by using the alternative right channels.

The two competitors have not been able to gain traction with Fox News viewers. Their inability to reach viewers is one part of the problem. Earlier this year, OAN lost its distribution deal with DirecTV, and now it's with a different company.

With neither Newsmax nor OAN capable of threatening Fox's dominance among conservative voters, Trump may be resorting to the use of promotingCNN in order to gain leverage against the Murdoch outlet.

CNN lost a lot of conservative viewers due to its liberal bias and constant criticism of Trump by top news hosts.

Chris Licht, who was installed after Discovery agreed to acquire CNN parent Warner Media, wants to institute a more politically neutral slant.

I've written to new @CNN chief Chris Licht, renewing an interest in appearing in debates/panel discussions as a conservative contributor, providing an alternative to a slate of lefty/Never Trump voices. Past discussions went nowhere, given the network's bias, but change is afoot.

Chris Licht will singlehandedly destroy @CNN and will be fired for doing so, probably all within the space of a year. I have uninstalled the CNN app on my phone and will never watch it again on any platform under his "leadership."

I think @JohnJHarwood was the best of the CNN journalists. Pushing him out, as Chris Licht, CNN’s new CEO has done, shows that CNN is on a scary new path. We don’t need a #FoxNews light. One dishonest cable network is more than enough. https://t.co/SNMT3ujGRu

During a speech in Pennsylvania over the weekend, Trump spoke out against electric vehicles, trying to squash rivals like Florida governor Ron DeSantis and Musk.
