Documents seized by FBI from Mar-a-Lago

A federal judge on Monday authorized the appointment of a special master to review records seized from President Donald Trump's Florida home by the FBI.

The Department of Justice was temporarily blocked from using the seized material for investigative purposes until the special master's examination of the documents was complete.

Cannon wrote in the order that the seized property will be examined by an independent third party.

Cannon said her order wouldn't affect an ongoing review of classified documents found at Trump's residence and the assessment of any possible damage to U.S. intelligence.

The judge ordered the DOJ and Trump's lawyers to come up with a list of candidates by Friday.
