Losing a game on a blocked extra point may not have been the only bad thing that happened to LSU.

All references to LSU have been removed from Boutte's account.

Over the past two years, Boutte has been one of LSU's top players. He led the team in receiving yards in each of his first two seasons and in receiving a touchdown despite playing just six games due to an ankle injury.

He had two surgeries to fix his ankle. There was an injury during the Kentucky game.

Boutte was called out by Brian Kelly for not showing up for spring practices.

Kelly said that he is a great player. He is a good child. This has been a difficult place for him. You get distracted because you aren't involved in everything. Whether you're injured or not, you have to be involved with everything.

Boutte told reporters that he contemplated entering the transfer portal because of his unfamiliarity with Kelly and the new coaching staff, but decided to stay at LSU.

Boutte said it was weird playing for people he hadn't met before. I didn't fit in because I hadn't met any of them personally. They spoke with me a little bit. I was confident that the plan they were coming in with would be executed.

Boutte is expected to perform well this season. He was one of three wideouts who were named to the first team.

Boutte might not be excited about his role in the offense. The 20-year-old had two catches for 20 yards in the loss to Florida State.
