According to a new book, Donald Trump tried to pay a lawyer with a horse.

Donald Trump owes $2 million to a lawyer at a white-shoe firm, according to a report by the Guardian.

The lawyer showed up at the building.

I will not be paying your bill. According to the book, Trump replied, "I'm going to give you something more valuable." The lawyer wanted to know what he was talking about. Trump said that he has a stallion. It is worth five million dollars. Trump took out a deed to a horse from a filing cabinet. The lawyer was the one who received it.

This isn't the 1800's. The stunned attorney threatened to file a lawsuit after he was told he couldn't pay him with a horse.

The author said that Trump eventually coughed up at least a portion of what he owes.

The anecdote supports the idea that Trump has shirked attorney fees.

Rudy Giuliani was not paid for millions of dollars of services.

The office of Trump did not reply to the request for comment immediately.
