According to a report, the San Francisco 49ers' decision to keep Jimmy Garoppolo wasn't fully embraced by the player.
Lance was annoyed after Garoppolo signed a restructured deal to stay with the team.
The expectation was that Garoppolo would be traded after the 49ers lost in the playoffs.
He gave a farewell address to 49ers fans at the end of the season.

In March, Garoppolo had shoulder surgery. He wasn't medically cleared until late July. His agents were given permission by the 49ers to try and trade him.
Peter King reported in his Football Morning in America column that Garoppolo didn't know a thing about Brian Griese.
The 49ers restructured Garoppolo's contract to make him the highest-paid backup quarterback in the league with a $6.5 million fully guaranteed base salary and the ability to earn $10 million in incentives if he starts.

The 49ers traded three first-round picks to move up nine spots and pick Lance. His long-term development is the main storyline for the franchise, but the team's success with Garoppolo could make things difficult.
Lance started two times when Garoppolo was hurt. He was 31 of 52 for 441 yards with two touchdown and two pick ups.
In Garoppolo's 45 regular-season starts, the 49ers have a 34-14 record. They made it to the Super Bowl after the playoffs last year.
