  • Donald Trump lashed out at Fox News and Karl Rove.

  • If CNN took a conservative approach, Trump would back it.

  • CNN is trying to appeal to a broader audience, according to recent exits.

The former President accused Fox News of going harder on Republicans than Democrats.

That's amazing!" The Democrats are being pushed by Fox News. Trump wrote on his platform that he gets worse every day. Many Democrats were interviewed with only softball questions.

It's not clear what interviews Trump was referring to, but he called out Karl Rove, a former White House official who is now a Fox News contributor.

Karl Rove has a big record of losing and is unwatchable. "I said that." It's not an easy place to be a Republican in this day and age. He wasn't sure which ads he was talking about.

During the Bush administration, Rove was a senior advisor. He has appeared on Fox News to discuss the investigations into Trump's handling of government records and the FBI's search of Mar-a-Lago.

According to the Presidential Records Act, none of the documents he took are his.

If CNN adopted a conservative approach, he would support it, even though he criticized Fox News on Sunday.

CNN would be an absolute gold mine if they ever went conservative. "I said that."

Trump's comments about CNN come as the network seems to be shifting its strategy to try to attract a wider range of viewers.

CNN White House correspondent John Harwood parted ways with the network on Friday after he called Trump a "dishonest demagogue" and said that President Joe Biden's characterization of Trump's movement as a threat to democracy was correct.

Last month, Brian Stelter left CNN. Fox News and other right-wing outlets were openly criticized by "Reliable Sources" host and journalist Brian Stelter.

Chris Licht took over as CEO of CNN after Jeff Zucker left.

Several unnamed CNN employees and former staffers told The Washington Post that they believed the recent string of exits was a sign that CNN was going to be more conservative.

Representatives for Fox News and CNN did not respond to questions from Insider.
