The golfer won the first sudden-death playoff at LIV Golf. It was :55.

On the first hole of a sudden-death playoff, Johnson made a 35-foot eagle putt to win the LIV Golf Invitation-Boston.

Johnson's putt on the 18th was going so fast that it could have gone past the hole. After hitting the back of the cup, it dropped down near the front of the cup to win.

Johnson hit his brother and caddie with his hand instead of dropping his arm for the uppercut. The win was worth four million dollars. He has made nearly $10 million in four events.

Johnson said that it was a good line and that it was going a little fast. I got some bad breaks on No. 18. I got it because it owes me one.

Johnson needed to make a putt on the 18th. He had to scramble for par after his drive bounced into the right rough, his iron to the left went into the trees and he had to make a bogey.

He hit a fairway metal to 5 feet on the 18th, and his eagle putt that would have won it rolled around the right edge of the cup.

Lee Westwood finished one shot out of a playoff after shooting a 62. He was poised to win when he rebounded from his bogey on the first with a short par on the second.

On the third hole, he had a great chance to make a putt. Westwood hit a wedge that was so fat that it came up 40 feet short of the pin and into a hole in the ground. He missed the par putt, which was 18 feet.

Westwood said the wedge was a bit fat. I need to make 3 and 5 to win the tournament. It's a terrible way to end.

The six players who recently signed with the league had a 63. He was in a tie for the lead until he hit his tee shot into the trees on the first hole. The man made a mistake.

Smith and Westwood were fourth and fifth, respectively. Each made over one million dollars.

The Saudi International was the last time Johnson won. Since Tiger Woods slipped out of the top 15 in the world when he joined LIV Golf, the player who has been No. 1 has been the one who has been there the longest.

He finished in the top 10 in all but one of the rival league's games.

He said he's had a chance to win all of them. For me to get my first, it's three in a row for the team.

He walked off the green with a phone in his hand.

Losing in the playoffs made Lahiri and Niemann richer. The players signed with LIV Golf after the season ended.

The Solheim Cup, which was hosted in the Chicago suburbs in 2009, will be the site of the next LIV Golf Invitational series.
